BAL Assessment Sorrento Mornington Peninsula

Within a landscape dominated by Coastal tea tree and undulating sand dunes, BAL assessments in Sorrento have their own unique challenges. BAL assessments require the slope under the Classified Vegetation to be assessed.

In this dynamic dune environment in any given direction, the slope is often a combination of upslope and downslope in a short distance. This requires obtaining the slope differential from the top of one dune to the outlining dune as the method endorsed by the Fire Protection Association of Australia.
