BAL Assessment Mornington Peninsula

Measuring heights of Silver leaved Stringybarks on the Mornington Peninsula for a BAL Assessment is one of the inputs into developing a Bushfire Management Statement. I have watched as the burning bark on these trees has broken off and floated on the hot updrafts to ignite neighbouring trees 20 metres high, giving me first hand knowledge of the extreme bark hazard these trees posses to spread high up above the ground from tree to tree.
